Terms of Service

1. About this service

Grimoire is operated by KAL Technologies LLC, doing business as mrKaltech ("we", "us"). Grimoire is a personal, non-commercial sample application built for demonstration and showcase purposes. It is not a commercial product: nothing is sold here, there are no subscriptions or fees, and the service is offered purely as-is for anyone who finds it useful or interesting.

Because this is a showcase project, the service may change, break, or be taken offline at any time without notice.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By visiting Grimoire or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

3. Accounts

• Grimoire is not intended for children. By creating an account you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
• You must provide a working email address to register, and you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Use a strong, unique password. We store only a salted hash of it, never the plaintext.
• Because Grimoire is a demonstration service, we may suspend, limit, or delete accounts and their data at any time, for any reason, including simply resetting the service. Do not treat Grimoire as the only copy of anything important — you can export your data at any time from Settings.

4. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempts to break authentication or rate limits, scrape other users' data, disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful. Automated access is welcome through the documented REST API and MCP endpoint using an API token created in your own account settings.

5. Card data, prices, and third-party services

• Card data, card images, and price estimates are provided by Scryfall. Grimoire is not endorsed by or affiliated with Scryfall.
• Prices shown are informational estimates only. They may be inaccurate or stale, and they are not offers to buy or sell anything.
• Combo detection is powered by Commander Spellbook.
• We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services.

6. Intellectual property and fan content

Grimoire is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. Card images and game information are © Wizards of the Coast. Grimoire is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

The content you add to your own account — collection entries, deck lists, notes — remains yours.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no guarantees about uptime, data durability, or the accuracy of any information shown.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KAL Technologies LLC and its members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use Grimoire — which is zero.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which KAL Technologies LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
